Stock Controller

Job Description

Job Title: Stock Controller
Department / Group: Supply Chain / Logistics
Location: Lurgan (Halfpenny Valley Industrial Estate)
Position type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Roles and Responsibilities

The Stock Controller will efficiently and accurately input and control of all stock related procedures. Reconcile stock on a weekly/monthly basis including stock cycle counts and update reports. Monitor and report deficiencies to include setting control measures to avoid repeat discrepancies. Reconciling goods received notes with suppliers, highlighting any deficiencies. Responsible for material control via daily kit issue of raw materials investigating any variances with production daily. Checking Lot Record Sheets against bookings and highlighting errors. Ensure all products are stored correctly within the storage/stockyard areas. The Stock Controller will also be required to work with and provide cover for the warehouse & stockyard during leave and busy periods.

Key objectives include:
• Ensure all stock movement paperwork is provided and recorded accurately on the Syspro system.
• To ensure that perpetual stock inventories are carried out and that the stock records accurately reflect the current stock status. Monitor and report any variances.
• Helping with customer consignment stock takes.
• Daily issuing of resin to jobs using LRS investigating variances and liaising with production to implement corrective actions.
• Monitor slow moving and damaged stock, reporting and plan to reduce.
• Be flexible when required to accommodate a fast-paced environment, supporting the business to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Provide cover for the Storeman as and when required.
• Ensure effective cross departmental communication in matters related to your area.
• Contribute to all business health and safety initiatives including safety/accident/incident audits in line with current legislative standards and Codes of Practice.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  •  Self-motivated with the flexibility to adopt and a willingness to develop new skills.
  •  Strong administrative skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  •  Problem solving skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to deal accurately with a lot of information.
  •  Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with a variety of customers, both internal and external.
  •  Flexible, willing and ability to cover other general duties and cover holidays within the Supply Chain function.
  •  Demonstrate a good basic standard of education.
  •  2–3 years industry experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent IT / Literacy skills with a sound working knowledge of all MS Office
  • Ability to self-manage, plan, anticipating requirements and communicating effectively at each stage.
  • Understanding of stock control technics and JIT controlled deliveries.
Preferred Skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, specifically Syspro, with good numerical ability.
  • Good health and safety awareness and a willingness to promote good practice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast paced environment.

Business Growth and Strategy
• Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to drive revenue growth.

Client Relationship Management

Roles and Responsibilities

The Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving the organisation’s Safety, Health & Environmental management systems, culture and performance across Northern Ireland operations.
The role provides visible leadership and strategic support to operational teams to ensure compliance with all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements while embedding a proactive culture focused on risk reduction, accountability, continuous improvement and predictable operational outcomes.
Working collaboratively across the business, the SHE Manager will support the development of positive organisational behaviours, operational discipline and employee engagement to strengthen both operational performance and employee wellbeing.
• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Safety, Health & Environmental Management Systems.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety, Health & Environmental legislation, regulations and company standards across all operations.
• Promote a proactive and positive SHE culture that encourages accountability, engagement, learning and continuous improvement.
• Support operational leaders in embedding SHE responsibilities and positive workplace behaviours into day-to-day activities and decision-making.
• Reduce operational and environmental risk through effective hazard identification, risk assessment, incident prevention and robust control measures that support safe, consistent and predictable outcomes.
• Drive improvements in SHE performance through monitoring, auditing, reporting and action planning.
• Ensure SHE incidents, near misses and environmental events are effectively investigated, managed and closed out.
• Develop employee capability and awareness through effective communication, coaching and training programmes.
• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives across the business, including waste reduction and environmental compliance activities.
• Build strong collaborative relationships across the Radius Systems Group to support alignment, consistency and sharing of best practice.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture
• Provide visible leadership to promote a positive safety, health, environmental and wellbeing culture across the business.
• Support leaders and employees in developing accountability, positive organisational behaviours and operational discipline
• Promote continuous improvement, psychological safety and consistent operational standards that support predictable outcomes

Safety, Health & Environmental Management
• Lead the implementation and continual improvement of the company’s SHE Management System in line with ISO standards and legislative requirements.
• Act as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for SHE matters across operations.
• Develop and implement SHE objectives, improvement plans and compliance programmes.

Risk Management & Compliance
• Lead risk assessments, hazard identification and control measures to minimise operational and environmental risk.
• Support incident, near miss and environmental event investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews

Environmental & Sustainability
• Support compliance with environmental legislation and company environmental standards.
• Assist with environmental improvement initiatives, waste reduction and pollution prevention activities.
• Support sustainability and environmental risk reduction initiatives across operations.

Training & Engagement
• Develop and deliver SHE training, awareness and engagement programmes.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on SHE responsibilities and best practice.
• Support initiatives that strengthen positive workplace behaviours and employee wellbeing.

Performance & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor and report on SHE performance metrics and improvement activities.
• Drive initiatives that strengthen operational control, reduce variation and support predictable SHE performance outcomes.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
• NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent recognised professional qualification essential; Diploma-level qualification desirable.
• Strong understanding of UK and Northern Ireland SHE legislation and management systems.
• Experience implementing and maintaining SHE Management Systems within an operational environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and work independently.
• Competent in analysing data, identifying trends and producing clear reports and recommendations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business systems.

Preferred (Desirable) Skills

• Membership of IOSH, IEMA or equivalent professional body.
• Experience working within ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 accredited environments.
• Internal or Lead Auditor qualification.
• Experience supporting organisational culture improvement and employee engagement initiatives.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, shift-based operations and contractor management.
• Experience leading incident investigations and driving corrective action programmes.
• Experience supporting environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
