Sustainability
Radius CTS is committed to delivering sustainable business practice, limiting our environmental impact on the planet and reducing our carbon footprint. We recognise we must continually strive to improve our Corporate Social Responsibility credentials and have taken a range of positive steps to effect positive change for the long-term.
In addition to compliance with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, we’re focused on 5 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, and we are a signatory to the Science Based Target Initiative. We’ve also been awarded Bronze Rating with Ecovadis in 2024.
Some of the ways we're achieving this...
Reusing Scrap Material
The scrap produced during the manufacturing of Solid Wall Duct and other Radius CTS products is re-used internally at the Lurgan plant. The scrap leaves the product system without any value and burden free and may enter the product system (if the product can be made using recycled materials) after being pelletised.
Procuring Green Energy
100% of the electricity consumed by Radius CTS is generated through wind farms and photovoltaic solar farms, and we are currently phasing in new materials handling equipment powered by hydrotreated vegetable oil.
Monitoring our Environmental Impact with CDP
At Radius CTS, we recognise the need for greater transparency of our environmental impacts and emissions, as a result we voluntarily report through the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Program). This self-reporting initiative allows Radius CTS to disclose the environmental impact and emissions of our manufacturing operations in a manner that is informed by the most current climate science.
Ensuring ultimate transparency with EPDs
EPDs (Environment Product Declarations) signal a manufacturer’s commitment to measuring and reducing the environmental impact of its products and services and report these impacts in a hyper-transparent way. By publishing EPDs, we can report comparable, objective and third-party verified data that shows everything about the environmental performance of our products.
