Materials Team Leader

Roles and Responsibilities
The Materials Team Leader will efficiently and accurately take a lead role in ensuring the materials related functions on the Lurgan Site are completed to a high standard in accordance with daily, weekly and monthly schedules. Compile reports on stock accuracy, booking anomalies, 1110 performance and material shortages
Key objectives include:
- Ensure all stock movement and intake paperwork is recorded accurately on the Syspro system.
- Investigate and analyse all stock anomalies to identify the root cause.
- Implement changes to improve processes and reduce/eliminate inaccuracies.
- To ensure that perpetual stock inventories are carried out and that the stock records accurately reflect the current stock status. Monitor and report any variances.
- Planning and overseeing customer consignment stock takes.
- Monitor slow moving and damaged stock, reporting and collaborating with other functions within the business to reduce the value.
- Be flexible when required to accommodate a fast-paced environment, supporting the business to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Provide cover for other functions within the department as and when required.
- Ensure effective cross departmental communication in matters related to your area.
- Contribute to all business health and safety initiatives including safety/accident/incident audits in line with current legislative standards and Codes of Practice.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Previous team leader/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated with the flexibility to adopt and a willingness to develop new skills.
- Excellent IT / Literacy skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Problem solving skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to deal accurately with a lot of information.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with a variety of customers, both internal and external.
- Flexible, willing and ability to cover other general duties and cover holidays within the Supply Chain function.
- 2–3 years manufacturing experience in a similar role.
- Ability to self-manage, plan, anticipating requirements and communicating effectively at each stage.
- Understanding of stock control techniques.

Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, specifically Syspro, with good numerical ability.
- Good health and safety awareness and a willingness to promote good practice.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast paced environment.
- FLT license and experience
